terms of service

the deal between you and xyra, in plain words.

last updated 17 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Xyra AI, Inc. ("Xyra", "we", "us") for your use of the Xyra app, the web app at app.xyra.dev, and xyra.dev (together, "Xyra"). By creating an account or using Xyra, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Xyra.

How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Xyra

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for what happens on your account.

2. Xyra is still early

Xyra is in an early access stage. Features will change, some will break, and some may be removed. We will try hard not to lose your data, but you should not rely on Xyra as the only copy of anything important.

3. Subscriptions

Some of Xyra requires a paid subscription, currently $10 per month in US dollars, billed through Stripe.

  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel.
  • You can cancel any time from Settings → Subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and you will not be charged again.
  • Payments are not refunded for partial months, except where the law requires it.
  • If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

4. Your content

What you put into Xyra (your messages, voice notes, boards, and memories) stays yours. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only to run Xyra for you, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.

You can delete your content, or your whole account, at any time from the app.

5. AI has limits

Xyra uses AI to understand you and to reply. AI can be wrong. It can misunderstand you, file something in the wrong place, or say something untrue.

  • Xyra is not medical, mental health, legal, or financial advice. Talk to a qualified professional about those things.
  • Do not rely on Xyra for anything where a missed or late reminder could cause harm, such as taking medication.
  • If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services.

6. Connected services

If you connect another service, such as Google Calendar, Xyra acts on your behalf within the permission you gave it. Your use of that service is still governed by its own terms. You can disconnect at any time.

7. Using Xyra fairly

Please do not:

  • break the law, or use Xyra to harm, harass, or deceive anyone;
  • try to get into other people's accounts or data, or into parts of Xyra you are not meant to reach;
  • disrupt or overload Xyra, or scrape, copy, or reverse engineer it;
  • resell Xyra or build a competing product from it.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

8. Our property

Xyra itself (the app, its design, its code, and the Xyra name and logo) belongs to Xyra AI, Inc. These terms give you a personal right to use it, nothing more. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

9. Ending things

You can stop using Xyra and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering Xyra. If we shut Xyra down, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your data.

10. Disclaimers

Xyra is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for what you decide based on what Xyra says.

11. Limit on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Xyra AI, Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim about Xyra is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some places do not allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

12. Indemnity

If you misuse Xyra or break these terms and someone brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both of us agree to those courts.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you keep using Xyra after that, you accept the new terms.
